Preconstruction with Multifamily exp needed in Phoenix, AZ

As the Preconstruction Director your role will be to work directly with the Director of Construction, Executive team and project partners to include Architects, Engineers, Sub-contractors, Vendors & suppliers to organize the pre-construction efforts for each project. You will be responsible for communicating, proposing and preparing preliminary budget estimates, design cost estimates, design-development cost estimates, and guaranteed maximum price (GMP) proposals inclusive of value engineering for a variety of Multifamily style projects with typical value ranges from $50m - $200m. You will also be responsible for leading a team of 3 Estimators. What you'll need to succeed • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related discipline • Proven experience managing preconstruction for large scale projects with emphasis on highly complex projects • Multifamily, Student Housing or Senior Living experience most desirable • In-depth knowledge of construction principles & practices • Experience leading successful team ventures, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entities and the subcontractor community • Highly motivated, strategic and creative with ability to multi-task and prioritize under tight deadlines What you'll get in return The opportunity to lead the West Coast Preconstruction services for one of the Nation's leading Real Estate development companies and manage and develop your own team of Estimators.
