They perform routine daily activities and assist in gathering and distributing information to team members. Project Engineers possess strong written and verbal communication skills and manages time effectively. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare, review and distribute RFIs. Maintain RFI Log. Process, review and distribute submittals. Maintain submittal log. Maintain job files and as-builts. Distribute schedule with Superintendent input. Maintain thorough understanding of contract documents and subcontracts. Schedule, prepare, and distribute meeting agenda and minutes for all job meetings. Assist with required tasks daily: Timecards, Purchase Orders, Work Orders and collecting Subcontractor Daily Job Reports. Weekly project photos. Inspect/verify material deliveries. Manage project closeout and obtain all warranties required for final acceptance. Maintain punch list with Superintendent. Ensure company procedures and standards are maintained. Assist Project Manager by preparing all necessary backup relating to change requests and soliciting change information. Interface with City officials as required Other duties assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications. Positive Attitude. Time management and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS: Education / Experience Bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline from an accredited educational institution OR 2 year’s experience as a Project Engineer for a commercial contractor. Software Proficiency General Software Products Basic: MS Word, Excel, Outlook Language Proficiency Speak & Write: English Licenses & Training Motor Vehicle Operator License: Current state issued non-commercial driver’s license CSI: CDT, CCCA – preferred LEED Accreditation - preferred Employer Will Perform: Drug Test, DMV records check
