Hiring Firm is growing rapidly and has an immediate need for a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer. This opportunity is in the San Joaquin Valley.

The Electrical Engineer/Designer will lead the electrical design efforts, including the development of electrical and solar designs, specifications and standards.  Providing support to A-C Electric Company’s Electric Service and Solar teams, the Engineer/Designer will create wiring diagrams and power distribution diagrams used to supply electricity to customers and various electronics products. To be effective, the Engineer/Designer must possess the knowledge and experience in electrical principles, along with information from industry codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:                    

·        Determines system sizing - utility usage analysis

·        Runs PV Syst reports for system production estimates

·        Develops optimal designs with SLD, PML, conduit and wire scheduling, routing and equipment plans, and conceptual 3-D renderings

·        Coordinates with team to develop complete proposal packages

·        Communicates project development updates to team; written and verbal with accuracy and tact

Requirements:

·        Education: 4-year Electrical Engineering Degree.

·        Experience:  7 years

·        Design Standards: NEC, IEE, ISA

Skills:                                                                                                           

·        Design: Experience with single lines, wiring diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, ground cable tray and lighting required. Ability to prepare electrical construction documents including lighting plans, power plans, and tele/data plans

·        Standards: Able to work within established Company standards and capable of developing and implementing new standards when necessary

·        Calculations:  Electrical Load, Voltage Drop, Title-24 Energy, Photometric, Fault-Current, and Coordinator Analysis

·        Building codes: A strong foundation and knowledge of national building and electrical codes

·        QC: Perform quality control and coordination reviews of own, and other designs

·        Applications:  Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. AutoCAD experience a plus.

Compensation:

$90K+ dependent upon experience, plus annual discretionary bonus.
