Position Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

 

Position Summary:  

The Quality Assurance Specialists utilize a variety of administrative, analytical, and technical methods and techniques to insure the quality and reliability of products. They are concerned with a variety of systematic activities designed to prevent defective or nonconforming products and to assure that these products are acceptable and perform as intended.

 

Job Responsibilities: Specifically, responsibilities associated with this job opportunity will include, but are not limited to the following:

·         Must be able to plan, coordinate and execute complex capital projects in large office and/or technical complexes.

·         Perform quality assurance activities such as: site inspection; testing and monitoring for compliance with specifications for construction of all exterior/interior mechanical, civil and electrical requirements of the contract and design; on-site surveillance of the contractor's proposed quality control system; and review of technical documents, test plans and reports and submissions for completeness, technical adequacy, and compliance with construction contract requirements and applicable regulations.

·         Lead all safety-related activities, including regular review of construction safety plans and activity hazard analysis for adequacy and safety inspections of on-site operations; and draft monthly reports

·         Evaluate, review construction schedules; work with colleagues to prepare change orders/claims and payment estimates.

·         Ensure all issues are appropriately logged in the project tracking system.

Job Requirement:

·         At least 5 years of responsible professional experience.

·         Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 

 

Skills and Specifications:

·         Ability to review quality management and procedures of the contractor(s); detect potential problems and report findings.

·         Ability to deal with conflicting circumstances and negotiate requirements/compromises involving diverse stakeholders on matters concerning project infrastructure strategy, design criteria, costing and quality.

·         Effective collaboration and ability to establish and maintain cooperative partnerships with officials at all levels inside and outside the organization, in a multicultural setting.

 

Education and Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, facilities management, or another relevant engineering discipline.
