Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience in NADCAP approved heat treat operations.  Must be detailed oriented and capable to maintain process requirements and process documentation with precision.  Capable to work safely in a heat treat environment with hot parts.

Purpose:

Heat treat parts during the manufacturing process of aerospace fasteners.

Essential Functions:

Follow written instructions.  The candidate will be required to wash parts, load/unload furnaces, set/monitor furnace settings, set/monitor processing soak time, test hardness and daily calibrate hardness machines, prepare/fill required documenation, assist with furnace calibrations or surveys and maintain required logs.

Daily tasks:

Daily responsibilities will be to perform the essential job functions, move parts, assist with heat treat equipment, maintenance and calibration.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of Heat Treat experience.  Ability to read measuring instruments and recorders.  Basic English reading and math skills.  The candidate must posses sound judgment and good organizational skills.  Positive attitude, good oral and written communication skills are a must.  Bi-lingual is preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to Lead Person or Department Supervisor.

Working Conditions:

Repetitive manual motion, heavy physical work.  Standing most of the time.  Lifting up to 25lbs and moving 40lb pans with dollies.  Work on weekends when required.  Work various shifts when required.
