Position Summary:

Set-Up and Operate Thread Roll Machines for specialty  aerospace fasteners.

Purpose:

Create threads for specialty fasteners primarily for aerospace application.

Essential Functions:

Set-up and operation of thread roll machines (Flat Dies Auto and A22 Reed Machine).

Daily tasks:

Inspect production, set-up and operate thread roll machines and assemble tools & dies required to thread roll and inspect parts. Monitor production data and report at end of task or shift. Weigh count piece production. Participate in required training classes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum three years thread roll set-up and operation experience. Ability to read blueprints. Competency in measurement and calibration.

Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Reporting Relationships:

Report to Thread Roll dept supervisor.

Working Conditions:

All day standing, repetitive manual motion, and walking to monitor several machines.

Success Factors:

Production oriented, willingness to learn and transfer knowledge to trainees.  Attention to details, ability to work in a group and to memorize simple procedures for machining and checking. Bi-lingual is preferred.
